Brunch Casserole

Ingredients

  • 8 slices white bread, one side buttered
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 can mushroom soup, undiluted
  • choice of 1 lb. pan sausage, cooked and drained; 2 c. leftover ham, cut in cubes or 1 lb. bacon, cooked and broken into pieces

    Grease 4-quart baking dish.

    Arrange bread, buttered side down in dish.

    Beat eggs and other ingredients and pour over bread, along with sausage, ham or bacon.

    Refrigerate overnight.

    Bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until golden brown.

    (Let casserole get room temperature before putting into oven.)

    Serves 8.
