- 8 slices bread (remove crust and butter both sides)
- 1 lb. bacon, browned and crumbled (could use sausage or ham)
- 1 small onion, chopped and browned
- 1 (8 oz.) shredded American cheese
- 12 eggs, well beaten
- 2 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. pepper and salt
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
Directions

1Arrange buttered bread in well-greased 9 x 13-inch pan.

2Cut bread to cover entire pan.

3Sprinkle cooked bacon over bread. Brown onion and sprinkle over bread, then the cheese.

4Mix eggs, milk, pepper, salt and dry mustard.

5Pour egg mixture over entire pan.

6Cover and refrigerate overnight.
