  • 1/2 lb. salted codfish
  • 1 or 2 large tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1 onion, finely chopped or sliced
  • 1 green sweet pepper, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. fresh hot pepper
  • 2 to 3 Tbsp. olive oil
  • avocado pear
  • lettuce
  • 2 hard-cooked eggs, sliced

Directions

    Break fish in pieces and place in saucepan with cold water. Gradually heat to boiling and pour off water.

    Repeat until fish is no longer salty.

    Remove skin and bones and slice fish in very small pieces.

    Blend fish with first five ingredients.

    Serve on platter and garnish with lettuce, hard-cooked eggs and avocado pear slices.
