- 1 pkg rapid rise yeast
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup whole wheat flour
- 2/3 cup + 1/2 cup white flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
Directions

1Dissolve yeast & sugar in water. Add oil & egg, mix well. Add flour and stir until the dough starts to form. Let stand 5 minutes to hydrate flour. Begin needing & add salt. Kneed 7-10 minutes until dough is sticky but smooth. Cover and allow to rise until doubled, about an hour.

2Divide dough into 4 pieces and form balls. Place onto an ungreased sheet pan, cover loosely with plastic and allow balls to rise until they are bun size. Brush with butter and bake at 375 for 15 to 17 minutes or until golden brown. Allow buns to cool before cutting and serving.
