- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 c. syrup
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- pinch of baking soda
- flavoring
Directions

1Put sugar, water, syrup and vinegar in pan and stir constantly until comes to a boil.

2Then add cream of tartar.

3Cook until it forms a hard ball in cold water - a brittle test.

4Add butter and pinch of baking soda and flavoring just before taffy is done.
