Butter Broccoli Nuts

- 1 1/2 lb. fresh broccoli
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 large red bell pepper
- 1/2 large yellow pepper
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 c. water
- 1/2 c. sliced almonds
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. water
Directions

1Trim off ends of broccoli stems to make 3 inch spears with florets.

2The stem ends of the broccoli are not used in this recipe.

3Rinse broccoli with the florets in cold running water. Drain well and set aside.

4Cut pepper into 1/2 inch pieces, and chop onion. Place butter in skillet

5on medium heat, when butter melts stir in onion and 1/4 cup of water.

6Cook for 3 minutes or until water evaporates.

7Stir in peppers and almonds.

8Cook mixture for 1 minute.

9Place broccoli spear on top of onion mixture.

10Sprinkle with salt and add 1/2 cup of water to skillet. Cover skillet and cook over medium heat for 5 to 7 minutes and serve.
