  • 1 c. Crisco shortening
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 1/2 c. sifted self-rising flour
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp. butternut flavoring

Directions

    Cream sugar, Crisco and eggs together for 10 minutes at high speed in mixing bowl.

    Add 1 cup flour.

    Beat on high for 1 minute.

    Add remaining flour and milk.

    Beat 1 minute on high. Add butternut flavoring.

    Beat well.

    Pour in greased tube pan. Bake for 45 minutes at 350°.
