  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces (1 c.)
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Directions

    Butter a 15 x 10-inch cookie sheet and set aside.

    In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, salt, butter or margarine and water.

    Cook until mixture reaches soft crack stage or 270° on a candy thermometer.

    Stir in chopped walnuts.

    Pour onto prepared cookie sheet.
