Butter Pecan Balls

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • sifted xxx sugar
  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 c. nuts
  • 2 c. sifted flour

Directions

    Gradually add sugar to butter, mixing well after each addition. Stir in nuts and then flour, 1/3 cup at a time.

    Chill dough until stiff enough to handle, about 2 or 3 hours.

    Shape into 1-inch balls and place 1-inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 250° for 20 to 25 minutes or until brightly brown on bottom.

    Place on wire rack to cool. Roll in xxx sugar and then again. Makes 4 dozen.
