- 2 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/4 c. butter (2 1/2 sticks)
- 1/2 c. half and half
- 1/4 c. light corn syrup
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 (6 oz.) milk chocolate bar
- 1 c. walnuts, chopped
Directions

1Use heavy pan.

2Combine sugar, butter, half and half, corn syrup and salt in large heavy saucepan.

3Bring to boil over low heat, stirring until syrup reaches 300°.

4Remove from heat; add vanilla.

5Pour into buttered 9 x 13-inch pan.

6Cool until firm. Spread chocolate on top of candy.

7Sprinkle with nuts and break into bite size pieces when chocolate hardens.
