- 2 cups Water Or Broth
- 3/4 cups Red Lentils
- 3 Tablespoons Butter
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 1/4 teaspoons Pepper
- 1/4 cups Parmesan Cheese
Directions

1Bring water to a boil.

2Add red lentils and let them simmer until just tender, about 20 minutes.

3You dont want to overcook your red lentils or they will turn to mush.

4Add more water, in 1/4-cup increments, as needed, if the water absorbs before the lentils are done.

5You dont want them to dry out while cooking.

6Once your water is absorbed and lentils are tender, remove from the heat and stir in butter.

7Season with salt and pepper.

8Add in parmesan cheese.

9Serve.
