- 1 c. lukewarm milk
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1 c. flour
- 1 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Scald milk.

2When lukewarm, add yeast and the 1 cup of flour. Mix well; cover and let stand for 15 minutes.

3Mix remaining ingredients like pie crust.

4Add milk mixture and 3 well beaten eggs.

5Knead into a ball and place in a bowl that has been coated with butter, turning to coat top of dough as well.

6Let rise, free from any draft for about an hour.

7Divide dough into fifths and roll each part like pie crust.

8Brush with melted butter.

9Cut into eighths and roll, starting at wide end, to form horns.

10Place on ungreased sheets and let rise again for about 2 hours.

11Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes.

12Frost with a butter frosting.
