  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 1/2 to 3 3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour

Directions

    Soften yeast in 1/4 cup warm water (110°). Combine 3/4 cup milk,

    cup shortening, 1/2 cup sugar and 2 teaspoons salt; cool to lukewarm. Add 1 cup sifted all-purpose flour;

    add yeast and 3 eggs.
