- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 c. warm water
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 5 c. flour
Directions

1Mix together the yeast and 1 tablespoon sugar. Beat in the eggs with the warm water.

2Let stand 15 minutes. Add the 1/2 cup sugar, shortening, salt and flour.

3Knead well.

4Let stand in refrigerator overnight.

5Divide into 2 parts and

6roll in 12-inch circle. Cut into 16 wedges. Roll up, starting with wide side.

7Let rise 3 to 4 hours.

8Bake at 400° for 15 minutes. Brush with butter. Serve warm.
