- 2 c. flour
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- dash of salt
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 3/4 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Mix flour, powder, soda, salt and sugar in a large bowl.

2Cut in margarine with a pastry blender until mixture forms small crumbs.

3Add buttermilk.

4Mix just enough to make a soft dough. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead a few times.

5(Don't knead too much or biscuits will be dry and hard!) Roll the dough out to a 6 x 8-inch shape and place it on an ungreased cookie sheet. With a sharp knife, cut the dough into 12 equal pieces but do not separate.

6Bake in a 400° oven for 15 minutes.

7Serve hot.
