  • 5 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 2 Tbsp. warm water
  • 2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 c. shortening

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in warm water.

    Add milk and shortening.

    Add all dry ingredients and put in 1/2 at a time.

    Roll out dough and cut out.

    Bake at 450°.
