- 3 cups cake flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups (3 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 1 1/3 cups buttermilk
Directions

1Preheat the oven to 350F.

2Line 24 cupcake tins with baking papers.

3Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

4Set aside.

5In the bowl of an electric mixer, cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy, about 3 minutes.

6Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

7Stir in the vanilla.

8Alternately add the flour mixture and buttermilk, beginning and ending with the flour.

9Fill each baking cup two-thirds full.

10Bake until a skewer inserted into the middle of a cupcake comes out clean, about 20 minutes.
