  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups (3 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/3 cups buttermilk

    Preheat the oven to 350F.

    Line 24 cupcake tins with baking papers.

    Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

    In the bowl of an electric mixer, cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy, about 3 minutes.
