Buttermilk Pie

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 stick butter
  • 4 beaten eggs
  • 3 rounded Tbsp. flour
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • dash of nutmeg
  • 2 (9-inch) pie shells

Directions

    Melt butter and cream with sugar.

    Add eggs, one at a time. Add flour, stir in buttermilk, vanilla and nutmeg.

    Pour into pie shells.

    Bake at 350° for 45 to 60 minutes until golden brown and top cracks.

    Not done until top cracks.
