- 1 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 8 Tbsp. unsalted butter, melted
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell, chilled
Directions

1Preheat oven to 425°.

3a bowl, thoroughly combine the sugar, flour and eggs.

4Add the melted butter and buttermilk and stir until well mixed.

5Stir in the vanilla.

6Pour the filling into the chilled pie shell and bake for 10 minutes.

7Without opening the oven door, lower the temperature to 350° and bake for 35 minutes more.

8It is important to keep the oven door closed. Transfer the pie to a wire rack to cool to room temperature.

9Cut into wedges.
