- 1 c. vegetable oil
- 3 c. sugar
- 6 eggs, separated
- 3 c. self-rising flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. lemon flavoring
Directions

1Preheat oven to 325°.

2Cream together oil and sugar.

3Add egg yolks.

4In a separate bowl, sift together flour, soda and salt. Add buttermilk and lemon flavoring.

5Mix well and add egg yolks. Beat egg whites until peaks form and fold these into batter.

6Pour into tube pan that has been sprayed with Pam.

7Bake 1 hour and 20 minutes.

8Do not open oven during baking.
