- 1 c. shortening
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp. butternut flavoring
- 2 1/2 c. cake flour
- 1/2 c. self-rising flour
- 1 c. milk
Directions

1Cream shortening, sugar and eggs for one minute at half speed. Add 1 cup flour and beat for 1 minute.

2Add 1 cup of milk alternately with rest of flour.

3Add flavoring.

4Bake 1 hour at 325°.

5Increase heat to 350° and continue baking for 10 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
