- 1/2 c. (1 stick) butter or margarine
- 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Melt butter in saucepan.

2Remove from heat.

3Blend in sugar; add eggs, one at a time.

4Beat well after each.

5Add vanilla. Sift in flour.

6Stir to mix thoroughly.

7Gently stir in chopped nuts.

8Turn into greased oblong pan (13 x 9 x 2-inch).

9Spread evenly.

10Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.
