  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 12 cup sugar
  • 12 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup quick-cooking oats
  • 1 cup finely chopped walnuts, divided
  • 12 cup flaked coconut
  • 1 (12 ounce) packagenestle butterscotch chips

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    In a bowl, combine butter, sugar and brown sugar; beat until creamy.

    Add egg yolks and vanilla; beat well.

    Gradually blend in flour.

    Stir in oats, 1/2 cup nuts and coconut.

    Spread into a lightly greased 15 x 10 inch pan.

    Bake for 20 minutes.

    Cool.

    Melt over hot (not boiling) water (or microwave) butterscotch chips; remove from heat.

    Spread evenly over cookie layer.
