- 1 cup butter, softened
- 12 cup sugar
- 12 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup quick-cooking oats
- 1 cup finely chopped walnuts, divided
- 12 cup flaked coconut
- 1 (12 ounce) packagenestle butterscotch chips
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2In a bowl, combine butter, sugar and brown sugar; beat until creamy.

3Add egg yolks and vanilla; beat well.

4Gradually blend in flour.

5Stir in oats, 1/2 cup nuts and coconut.

6Spread into a lightly greased 15 x 10 inch pan.

7Bake for 20 minutes.

8Cool.

9Melt over hot (not boiling) water (or microwave) butterscotch chips; remove from heat.

10Spread evenly over cookie layer.

11Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup nuts.

12Chill for 10 minutes.

13Cut into 2 inch x 1 inch bars.
