Butterscotch Cheese Bars

  • 1 (11 ounce) package butterscotch chips
  • 13 cup butter (can substitute margarine)
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup nuts (chopped fine)
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1 egg

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    In medium saucepan, melt chips and butter.

    When creamy add crumbs and nuts.

    Press one half of the mixture firmly into a well greased 9 X 13 pan.

    In a large bowl beat cheese until fluffy, beat in milk, vanilla and egg.

    Pour over cust and sprinkle with remaining crumb mixture.

    Bake for 25-30 minutes.

    Cool completely before cutting into bars.

    Refrigerate leftovers.

    These bars freeze well.
