- 1 c. brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 c. evaporated milk
- 1 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 3/4 tsp. salt
Directions

1Combine brown sugar, cornstarch, salt and egg yolks together and mix thoroughly.

2Gradually stir in evaporated milk and water. Add butter.

3Cook and stir over low heat until thickened.

4Remove from heat and add vanilla.

5Pour into baked 9-inch pie shell and top with meringue from the egg whites.
