- 1 baked pie shell
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 6 Tbsp. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 egg yolks
Directions

1Put butter and sugar in top of double boiler. Add 1 cup milk. Heat over boiling water until milk is scalded.

2Mix the flour and salt. Stir in 1/2 cup milk, then stir this mixture into the double boiler and continue to stir until this mixture thickens. Cover and cook 10 minutes.

3Beat the egg yolks slightly. Stir in a little of the hot mixture, then pour in double

4boiler and cook 1

5minute. Cool slightly.

6Pour into baked pie shell.

7Cover with meringue made from 2 egg whites. Brown in oven at 350°.
