  • 2 eggs, separated (beat white to put on top of pie)
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. milk
  • 3 Tbsp. water
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. powdered sugar
  • a little butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla (add after cooking)

    Mix and cook until thick.

    Pour into baked pie shell.

    Beat egg whites and add to top of pie.

    Brown meringue in oven or under broiler.
