  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 1 1/2 c. dark brown sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 4 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 baked pie shell

Directions

    Mix brown sugar, flour, salt, milk and egg yolks in a saucepan.

    Cook until thick.

    Cool 10 minutes and add vanilla. Pour into pie shell.

    Top with meringue and brown in oven.
