  • 1 (8-inch) baked pie shell
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 5 Tbsp. flour or cornstarch
  • dash of salt
  • 1 2/3 c. milk
  • 3 egg yolks, beaten
  • 3/4 stick margarine
  • 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
  • Cool Whip

Directions

    Mix sugar, flour, salt and milk over low heat.

    Add beaten egg yolks.

    Continue cooking until thick (stir constantly).

    Remove from heat and fold in margarine and vanilla.

    Pour into baked pie shell and cool.

    Top with Cool Whip.
