Ingredients

  • 1 c. light brown sugar
  • 4 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 c. milk
  • 2 eggs (using whites for meringue)
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 baked pie shell

Directions

    Mix all together and cook in double boiler until thick.

    Cool slightly before putting in pie shell.

    Mix 2 tablespoons sugar with beaten egg whites and spread on top and brown in a slow oven about 350°.
