Ingredients
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1/4 c. warm water (110~ to 115~)
- 1/2 c. warm milk (110~ to 115~)
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 1/2 to 3 c. all-purpose flour
Directions

1In large mixing bowl, combine yeast and water.

2Add warm milk, butter, egg, sugar, salt and 1 1/2 cups flour.

3Beat on low speed of electric mixer for 3 minutes.

4Gradually mix in enough remaining flour to make dough easy to handle.

5On well-floured board, knead for 5 minutes or until smooth and elastic, adding flour to board as needed.

6Shape dough into ball.

7Place in greased bowl; turn dough over.

8Cover and let rise in warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.

9Punch down dough; shape as directed in recipe.
