- 6 eggs
- 2 1/4 c. sugar
- 3/4 lb. butter
- 3 c. sifted flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 c. milk
Directions

1Put all ingredients in a large mixing bowl; butter and eggs should be room temperature.

2Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl.

3Beat on high speed for 20 minutes; scrape sides with a rubber spatula.

4Grease well bottom only of tube pan (angel cake pan).

5Line bottom with wax paper; put into cold oven.

6Bake 1 hour and 10 minutes at 350°.

7Use cake tester; ovens vary.

8If tester comes out clean, it's done.
