  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 lb. ground beef or sausage meat
  • 6 c. coarsely chopped cabbage
  • 1 can cream of tomato soup
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper

    Saute onion in butter.

    Add ground beef; don't brown.

    Season with salt and pepper.

    Spread 3 cups cabbage in baking dish. Cover with meat mixture.

    Top with remaining cabbage; pour soup over top.

    Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
