- 1 large cabbage, shredded
- 1 onion, chopped
- 6 Tbsp. butter or margarine, divided
- 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of mushroom soup (undiluted)
- 8 oz. processed American cheese, cubed
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 c. dry bread crumbs
Directions

1Cook cabbage in boiling water until tender; drain well.

2In a large skillet, saute onion in 5 tablespoons butter until tender. Add soup and mix well.

3Add cheese; heat and stir until melted. Remove from heat; stir in cabbage, salt and pepper.

4Put in a 9 x 13-inch glass dish.
