- 1 medium head cabbage
- 6 Tbsp. butter or magarine
- 6 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 2 c. evaporated milk or milk
- 3/4 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
Directions

1Cut cabbage into small pieces; place in a saucepan.

2Cover with water; cook 10 minutes.

3Drain.

4Make a white sauce from the butter, flour, salt, pepper and milk.

5Stir constantly until thickened.

6In a 10 x 10 x 2-inch casserole dish, layer the cabbage, sauce and cheese.

7Repeat twice; dot with butter.

8Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
