"Cabbage Casserole"

  • 1 small cabbage, chopped
  • 1/2 c. onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1/4 c. Italian/Cheddar cheese
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. uncooked rice
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 1/2 c. water

    Spread chopped cabbage in 13 x 9-inch pan.

    Brown meat and onion.

    Stir in rice over chopped cabbage.

    Add meat and onion. Heat tomato soup and water to boiling.

    Pour over cabbage and meat.

    Sprinkle with cheese.

    Cover with foil and bake in preheated oven at 350° for one
