- 1 large head cabbage, shredded (approximately 12 c.)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 6 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 can mushroom soup (8 oz.)
- shredded cheese
- Ritz crackers
Directions

1Cook shredded cabbage until tender; drain thoroughly.

2In large skillet saute onion in 5 tablespoons butter.

3Add soup and mix well.

4Add cheese and stir until melted.

5Remove from heat, stir in cabage and salt and pepper.

6Transfer to ungreased 2-quart baking dish.

7In small skillet melt remaining butter and add crushed Ritz crackers until lightly browned; sprinkle over casserole.

8Bake uncovered at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes or until heated through. Makes 8 to 10 servings.
