- 1 medium head cabbage, shredded
- 2 grated carrots
- 1 medium onion, sliced thin or minced
- 1 green or red pepper, minced (optional)
- 1 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. cider vinegar
- 1/4 c. water
- 1 tsp. each: salt, celery seed and dry mustard
- 5 Tbsp. oil
Directions

1Heat together sugar, cider vinegar, water and spices.

2Simmer 5 minutes.

3Pour over vegetables.

4Stir in 5 tablespoons oil. This will keep 2 to 4 weeks in refrigerator.
