Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/3 c. flour
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 egg
- 1 c. milk
- 2 Tbsp. grated onion
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 large cabbage
- 1 c. boiling water
Directions

1Combine ground beef, flour, salt, pepper, egg and nutmeg. Blend thoroughly.

2Add onion and milk and after mixing, set aside. Trim off outward leaves of cabbage.

3Slice off 1 inch from core end with sharp knife and hollow out cabbage to leave a shell 1/2-inch thick.

4Spoon meat mixture into shell.

5Fit cut slice back into place and tie with kitchen string.

6Place stuffed cabbage, core end down in Dutch oven.

7Add boiling water and cover.

8Bake at 375° for 1 1/2 hours.
