Cabbage Kielbasa Soup

- 1/2 lb. kielbasa, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
- 1 small head cabbage, coarsely chopped
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 4 carrots, thinly sliced
- 2 1/2 qt. chicken broth
Directions

1In Dutch oven, brown kielbasa slices.

2Drain.

3Reserve 2 tablespoons of drippings.

4Set sausages aside.

5Add onion and cabbage to drippings.

6Cook until lightly browned (7 minutes). Add carrots and chicken broth.

7Cover and simmer 30 minutes, until vegetables are tender.

8Add sausages.

9Heat thoroughly.
