  • 1 lb. ground beef (lean)
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1 c. cooked rice (optional)
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. dried thyme, crumbled
  • 1/4 tsp. dried oregano, crumbled
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 6 c. coarsely shredded cabbage (1 small head)
  • 2 c. canned tomato soup

Directions

    Cook and stir ground beef and onion until beef is no longer pink; drain.

    Stir in rice and seasonings.

    Spread 3 cups cabbage in 2-quart baking dish.

    Cover with meat mixture and sprinkle with remaining 3 cups cabbage.

    Pour undiluted soup over top.
