- 1 1/2 lb. hamburger
- 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
- 1 whole egg
- 2 tsp. minced garlic
- 1/4 c. uncooked rice
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 head cabbage
Directions

1Mix meat, onion, egg, garlic, rice, salt and pepper in bowl. Separate cabbage leaves and lay in pan of boiling watar to soften.

2Lift out leaves.

3Fill with a ball of meat mixture.

4Roll cabbage around meat and fasten with toothpicks.

5Place in pot. Add remaining ingredients.

6Cover well with water.

7Bring to a boil, then turn down heat and simmer about 2 hours.
