- 1 big head cabbage
- 1 1/2 lb. hamburger
- 1 medium onion
- 1 egg
- ends of 3 slices of bread, soaked in water
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Boil cabbage approximately 5 minutes on each side.

2Put in colander.

3Separate cabbage leaves.

4Roll 1 tablespoon of hamburger ingredients into cabbage leaf and put together with a couple of toothpicks.

5Brown, in a pan of 1 tablespoon of Crisco, on each side.

6Add water with salt and pepper in the same pan.

7Cook slowly for 3 minutes.

8Mix 2 tablespoons of cornstarch to 1/2 cup water. Add slowly to cabbage in same pan.

9Cook until it thickens.

10Add a little nutmeg.
