Cabbage Rolls

Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 lb. pork sausage
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. rubbed sage
  • 2 tsp. instant minced onion
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Season-All
  • 2 c. cooked rice
  • 2 (10 oz.) cans tomato soup
  • 2 medium size heads cabbage
  • 1 c. water

Directions

    Combine all ingredients except 1 can tomato soup, cabbage and water.

    Cut out heart of the cabbage and immerse in boiling water to loosen leaves.

    Place about 2 tablespoons of meat mixture into each leaf.

    Roll and fasten with toothpicks.
  5. 5
    Place in a large roasting pan.

    Mix remaining can of soup with the 1 cup water and pour over cabbage rolls.

    Cover and bake in a 350° oven for about 1 hour.

    Makes about 40 cabbage rolls.
