- 1 lb. ground beef
- salt and pepper to taste
- 28 oz. can tomatoes
- 1 medium chopped onion
- 1/2 to 1 c. rice
- 2 Tbsp. bacon grease
- 6 to 8 large cabbage leaves
Directions

1Place cabbage in boiling water until wilted, not soft.

2Mix meat with other ingredients, reserving 1/3 of tomatoes.

3Place equal amounts of meat mixture in each cabbage leaf.

4Fold leaves around meat to form rolls.

5Pour remaining tomatoes over cabbage rolls.

6Bake at 400° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
