  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 large head cabbage
  • 1 c. uncooked rice or Minute rice
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 onion (large), diced
  • 1 green pepper (large), diced
  • 2 to 3 c. homemade or store bought spaghetti sauce
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. garlic powder (optional)

Directions

    In a separate bowl, combine hamburger, rice, eggs, onion, green pepper, salt, pepper and garlic powder.

    Mix well.

    Separate leaves (using large leaves only) and parboil for about 5 minutes. Making individually, put about 2 tablespoons of hamburger mixture in the center of each leaf, roll up tightly, and secure with a toothpick.
