Cabbage Rolls - Not!

  • 1 small head cabbage
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • salt & pepper (to taste)
  • 2 lbs extra lean ground beef (precook and drain higher fat content beef)
  • 28 ounces tomato sauce

Directions

    Crumble uncooked lean ground beef in crock pot.

    Mix in onion, garlic, salt and pepper.

    Remove core from cabbage and cut into wedges.
  4. 4
    Arrange cabbage over meat mixture.
  5. 5
    Pour tomato sauce over cabbage.

    Cook on low for 8-10 hours

    Note: may be converted to 2-3 hour stovetop method in dutch oven but recommend precooking ground beef with onion and garlic.
