  • 14 c. shredded cabbage
  • 1 medium onion, shredded
  • 1 medium green pepper, shredded
  • 3 medium carrots, shredded
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. white vinegar
  • 3/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. salad oil
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar

Directions

    Combine vinegar, oil, sugar and salt.

    Bring to a boil.

    Pour hot mixture over cabbage, onion, peppers and carrots.

    Let stand for 1 1/2 hours.

    Refrigerate.

    Will keep for several days. Serves 25.
