Ingredients
- 9 strips bacon
- 1 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 16 oz. tomatoes
- 1 Tbsp. beef bouillon grains
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 chopped jalapeno pepper or 1/3 c. salsa
- 1 1/2 lb. cabbage
- 2 Tbsp. sauce and gravy flour (Wondra)
Directions

1In a saucepan, fry the bacon and onion until the bacon is crisp.

2Remove the bacon, chop and set side.

3Add tomatoes, bouillon, sugar and pepper or salsa.

4As the tomato mixture comes to a boil, chop the cabbage.

5Mix it in and simmer 20 minutes. Stir in flour and bring to a boil.

6Place in a serving bowl and garnish with chopped bacon.

7Serves 10.
