  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3 oz. pure dark chocolate
  • 1 cup Splenda
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2/3 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecan or walnuts

    1. Melt butter and chocolate over low heat in saucepan, then remove from heat and cool.

    2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease an 8x8x2-inch pan and set aside. Stir sugar into cooled chocolate mixture in saucepan. Add eggs one at a time, beating with a wooden spoon until combined. Stir in vanilla.

    3. Into a small mixing bowl stir together the flour and baking soda. Add flour mixture to choclate mixture and stir until combined. Stir in nuts. Spread the batter in prepared pan.

    4. Bake in 350 degree oven for approx. 30 min and firm to light touch. Cut into 16 bars.
